A 1963 Ford Taunus Transit van. The vehicle is imported and left-hand drive. The van was originally used by the West German Fire Service.

The Ford Taunus Transit was the first Ford vehicle to carry the ‘Transit’ name and was produced between 1953 and 1965 at the Ford factory in Köln-Niehl, Germany.

The van has been restored. The odometer reads 50712km.

The vehicle has a 1498cc capacity engine and a steering-column shift gearbox.

The van has not been registered in the UK. It is supplied with a letter from the Ford Motor Company confirming the VIN and the date of manufacture (June 1963).

The van is also supplied with a V55/5 ‘Application for first vehicle tax and registration of a used motor vehicle’ form with the relevant vehicle data sections filled in by the previous owner. When this form is submitted, the van will be subject to a DVLA fee of £55.


Also included in the lot: A full set of doors and a rear window for a 1955-1963 Ford (Germany) Taunus Transit van. Comprises driver and passenger doors with glass and fittings, side door, rear door and an interior steel panel.
