A 1938 Standard Flying Ten Saloon registered AUT 433. This pre-war classic car has a 1141cc side-valve engine No. BB 2050, chassis No. BB1967. The mileage reads 25547 on the car’s odometer.

Paperwork includes an earlier (now defunct) 1960s registration document, owner’s handbooks and a previous advert for a sale of the car in 2008. The latter states that the Flying 10 had been restored over the preceding period of twenty years and lists work carried out including a full respray, new carpets, new chrome, steering box rebuilt, new tyres and radiator re-cored.

A notebook listing each time the car was used appears to show that the last time the vehicle was driven was the 5th August 2017.

The car is sold as a non-runner, as no attempt has been made to start the engine since its arrival at our auction centre, It is, however, free-rolling, brakes apply and disengage and the gears select.

This car is to be sold as part of the liquidation of an estate due to illness and no vehicle registration document could be located. A V5 will have to be applied for by the buyer.

Please note: Our buyer premium is reduced to 10%+VAT (plus website-specific internet buyer premium) on all sales of motor vehicles exceeding a hammer price of £2,000
